SHAOQIU GONG


Shaoqiu Gong is a highly motivated and innovative individual with extensive experience in heritage planning and transportation planning. He holds a Bachelor of Urban and Rural Planning degree from Nanjing University, where he acquired vital knowledge and skills in land use planning, transportation planning, and community design. Throughout his studies, he developed a keen interest in spatial analysis and undertook several ecological analysis projects centered around the city of Nanjing. In 2015, he embarked on his career as a heritage and cultural planner, focusing on heritage conservation planning and smaller-scale initiatives aimed at promoting cultural heritage properties. He has also actively participated in various projects related to village conservation plans.

In 2021, Shaoqiu embarked on his Master of Planning journey at Dalhousie University, deepening his expertise in spatial analysis and nurturing a growing passion for sustainable transportation. His time in Halifax has allowed him to immerse himself in the Canadian planning context, and his projects have revolved around public transit, active transportation, and sustainable development.

During his leisure time, Shaoqiu indulges in his passion for photography, particularly capturing captivating images of his adorable corgi.
